FM2000 is a covert mobile detection and alarm signaling system - for use by the emergency services. The product is designed to communicate via FM alarm receiving software with Alarm Receiving Centres over TETRA, GSM and PSTN

Features include:

Detection Equipment:

  • The system is wire-free - deploying a broad range of detection equipment
  • Detection equipment can be selected to satisfy individual assignments
  • 8 alarm zones, plus 1 fire zone and 1 panic zone
  • Select from FM's full range of detectors to provide comprehensive cover

System Management:

  • Unauthorised access to systems is detected by anti tamper protection
  • Remote arming is provided via a configurable remote controller
  • Radio keypad with 4 digit pin code may be used for remote arming
  • Recent alarm activations can be recalled and displayed.
  • An event log allows authorised personnel to interrogate last 8 activations
  • Non-volatile memory ensures programmed data is retained during power failure

Alarm Operation:

  • System is armed automatically when a contact device is activated on an exit route
  • Users can set a zone to chime when its designated detector is interrupted
  • Low battery and tamper indications are monitored for each detection zone
  • 12 hour mains free operation is provided by on board battery power
  • Extended mains free operation is delivered via an external battery connector

System Monitoring:

  • Signalling by TETRA Airwave, GSM mobile phone and PSTN telephone line
  • TETRA and GSM signal strength indication provided on the control unit
  • Dual signalling provides fail safe communication and constant monitoring
  • 16 user defined alarm messages of 22 character length available
  • SMS or SDS alarm messages may be sent directly to keyholders.

Physical Characteristics:

  • Control unit dimensions: 340mm wide x 300mm high x 150mm deep
  • Padlock eyes on control units prevent unauthorised access or removal.
  • Matching carrying case for transport of detection devices

Performance Standards:

  • System meets BS6799 Class 5 and PSDB 73/04 specification
  • Control unit supplied in a rugged case conforming to IP54
