DigiCOM

Product Overview

  • 4 channel audio verifiable digital communicator
  • Programmable from a standard tone dial telephone (Adaptor required)
  • Optional line grab facility (on AV+)
  • Can handle up to 32 microphones or 16 speaker/microphones when used with multiplexers
  • Can audio verify existing Redcare STU (With special Red software)
  • Can be programmed to dial a private phone/mobile
  • BABT approved
  • Can have voice chip added to become a message dialler

Product Description

The Digicom AV can be fitted to any security control panel. In the event of an alarm activation it will dial a pre-programmed telephone number and report. If programmed to do so, the unit also allows the person dialled (whether it be a 24 hour monitoring station or a key holder on their private telephone) to listen in at the property where the alarm has occurred.

The person can then verify whether the alarm is genuine or false. The system utilises microphones and speaker/microphones to allow the person dialled to listen at various points around the property (using multiplexers) and if necessary, talk to challenge a would-be intruder.

Each Digicom can be used with up to 32 separate microphones or 16 speaker/ microphones. Special multiplexers allow switching between microphones or speaker /microphones, so you can establish exactly where the intruder is in the property. A microphone multiplexer can handle up to 8 microphones, while a speaker/microphone multiplexer can handle up to 4 speaker/microphones. (So, for a 32-microphone system you would need 1 Digicom, 4 multiplexers and 32 microphones).

The unit can be programmed to dial any telephone number, using the AV programming adaptor that connects the unit to a standard tone dial telephone. Simply follow the programming instructions in the technical manual supplied with the product.

RedDigi

Product Overview

  • 4 channel audio verifiable digital communicator
  • Programmable from a standard tone dial telephone (Adaptor required)
  • Optional line grab facility (on AV+)
  • Can handle up to 32 microphones or 16 speaker/microphones when used with multiplexers
  • Can audio verify existing Redcare STU
  • BABT approved

Product Description

The Red Digi can be fitted to any security control panel and in the event of an alarm activation, it will dial a pre-programmed telephone number and report. The Red Digi is designed to operate with an alarm system that already has BT Redcare fitted. The Red Digi "piggybacks" onto the existing Redcare STU and when the Redcare unit has successfully communicated to the monitoring station, the output triggers the Red Digi which can then audio verify the alarm.

(So, for a 32 microphone system you would need 1 Digicom, 4 multiplexers and 32 microphones).

The unit can be programmed to dial any telephone number, using the AV programming adaptor that connects the unit to a standard tone dial telephone. Simply follow the programming instructions in the technical manual supplied with the product.

AV Programming Adaptor

Product Overview

  • Allows programming/reprogramming of all S.T. dialler systems
  • Connects to standard tone dial telephone
  • Low cost
  • Small and easy to use

Product Description

The AV programming adapter is a low cost connection lead that can be used to program or reprogram any AV dialler system made by Sensor Technologies UK Ltd.

At one end, there is a standard BT telephone socket that allows you to plug in any standard tone dial telephone. By using the keypad of the telephone, it is possible to program telephone numbers, site codes and other user options into the dialler system.

At the other end of the adapter is a 2.1mm plug that fits into the socket in the side of a Digicom case or directly onto the printed circuit board on a STAR unit.

AV Microphone

Product Overview

  • Single microphone unit for audio verification
  • Led display facility when active
  • Adjustable volume control
  • Tough, unobtrusive plastic case
  • Can be multiplexed up to 32 units per Digicom

Product Description

The AV microphone is an ancillary product to the Digicom AV. When connected to the Digicom it will allow the monitoring station (only when the Digicom has dialled them) to listen in at the property covertly.

The microphone is housed in a slim line, tough abs case which conceals its true purpose, making the device highly unobtrusive.

A Digicom can operate up to 32 of these microphones when used in conjunction with 4 of our 8 way multiplexers, each multiplexer handling a maximum of 8 microphones. The microphones can be used without a multiplexer, but the monitoring station would only be able to listen in to all microphones simultaneously, as opposed to being able to switch from one to the other using a multiplexer.

Microphones can be linked to the Digicom/ multiplexer using standard 6-core alarm cable.

AV Speaker/Microphone

Product Overview

  • Integrated microphone and speaker for audio verification
  • Adjustable volume controls for speaker and microphone
  • Led display facility when active
  • Tough, unobtrusive plastic case
  • Can be multiplexed up to 16 units per Digicom

Product Description

The AV speaker/microphone is an ancillary product to the Digicom AV. When connected to the Digicom it will allow the monitoring station (only when the Digicom has dialled them) to listen in at the property covertly, and if necessary, verbally challenge any occupant.

The speaker/microphone is housed in a slim line, tough abs case which conceals its true purpose, making the device highly unobtrusive.

A Digicom can operate up to 16 of these speaker/microphones when used in conjunction with 4 of our 4 way multiplexers, each multiplexer handling a maximum of 4 speaker/microphones. If more than one speaker/microphone is required in the property, a multiplexer must be used, otherwise the power consumption of the multiple speakers could exceed your control panel's power rating.

Speaker/microphones can be linked to the Digicom/multiplexer using standard 6-core alarm cable.

AV Bell-Cut Adaptor

Product Overview

  • Can be used to interrupt the external/internal siren of an alarm system to allow audio verification to take place
  • Easily connected to Digicom AV/AV+
  • Comes as standard on the star unit
  • Can be used activate alarm system when telephone line is cut

Product Description

The bell cut off relay or relay board as it is sometimes known, is a small printed circuit board which when wired to the o1 output on an AV Digicom will provide relay contacts to switch either a sounder cut-off or other ancillary device. The sounder cut-off is usually required to assist the monitoring station when audio verifying an alarm. If there is a siren activating whilst they are listening in, it makes the process of identifying whether an intruder is present very difficult.

The relay board is fitted as standard to all new star units.

If a Digicom is used without the AV facility, the relay board can be used as a line monitoring alarm that will activate the alarm system in the event of a line cut.

The AV function and line monitoring cannot be utilised at the same time.
